How did you get it to work on the latest Team EOS? I placed the file at /system/media with the right permission but it does not read it.

it goes into your /data/local from the root of your "internal sdcard".

So I was trying to find the correct location for this file, could you provide the complete path...

Is it just a case of simple file replace?

well that is the complete path. unless you already have a custom boot animation installed there will be no bootanimation.zip in your data/local folder

the location being mentioned requires root. so this doesn't go on your sd card it goes into the root of your device. if you have adb setup you could also do a push to data/local but using a root explorer is the easiest way.
