I'm still using MegaUpload and offering alternate downloads on Mediafire. Otherwise, spend money on a host aand get the storage and bandwidth. That gets expensive though.

On another note, I have another lead on the sound issue I'm gonna try tonight. Keep your fingers crossed.

It's all in the host company. Some offer stats as part of their packages, others don't. I do a $11.95/mnth plan that gets me limited stuff. Not enough to do all the stuff I post up here, or even the bandwidth for previews linked here. My PhotoBucket acct hit it's limit last month bacause of it. It restarts on the 8th. Bandwidth adds up quick!

Back on subject.... MediaFire seems a little better than MegaUpload because the file is there right away for download, while Megaupload makes you wait 30 seconds. MegaUpload offers premium services though which cuts out that wait, and popular files can earn you premium access credits.

I'm always up for other venues to host files (or even my website) as long as they are reliable. Downtime just stinks.

Excuse my ignorance, but is there a reason bootanimations aren't in flashable zips?

I would say it's mainly because all the guides use ADB or a file manager, plus people use the boot animation installer program. If the demand is there, I wouldn't have a problem doing them as flashable zips. Or even on an "as needed" basis for people. Just a time thing really in putting out multiple files and not knowing if it will get enough downloads to warrant both.
