I'd like to save higher quality videos on my PC for viewing on my HDTV. What settings would I use?
Love the program, BTW![]()

Hi Kaiya,
It all depends on what you are using for playback. For a PC, it doesn't make much of a difference, its just a matter of video codecs.
It also depends on what you are actually using as a source. If it is just DVDs, the quality of the Xoom profile provides a video quality nearly identical to that of the actual DVD.
If you convert HD content such as MKVs (which will actually play on your PC using something like VLC, so conversion isn't really needed) the Xoom HQ1 or Xoom HQ2 profile will provide excellent quality and still keep the files playable on your Xoom as well, so you don't have to convert twice.
If you rather use a different format for PC playback, you can have a look here or some added information:

Thank you for the great response!
I'm doing the converting direct from the DVD and would likely use VLC for playback as it seems to work the best. If playback from any of the Xoom setting works good for playback to an HDTV via a PC, that's perfect. I won't have to convert twice and I only have to upload movies to the Xoom if I am traveling![]()
using the Xoom format with DVDs will result in great looking files with VLC as well.
Thats what I would do![]()
