Hello, have been gone awhile, health issues continue.

Anyway, I have been happy with 3.2.1 with Tiamat 2.2.2 Moray and 2.6.36.4-rogue-1.4.3+, etc, but it is time for JB.

I read where I need a compatible recovery, have installed CWM touch 6.0.2.7 and made a backup, but have others available also. Is this recovery suitable for latest EOS 3 stable or EOS 4 latest nightlies? Suggestions welcome LOL.

I have put on my sd card: EOS-wingray-3.0 with gapps-jb-20120802-eos-signed and EOS-Wingray-20130520-197 with gapps-jb-20130413-EOS-XOOM-only.

Is this the right pairing of ROM and GApps? What would happen if I used the 20130413 gapps with the EOS-wingray-3.0 ROM?

Is this still the correct procedure:
make nandroid
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
wipe data
format/system
flash desired ROM
flash GApps
reboot?

I believe we are to do all the above steps without rebooting until after flashing the GApps, correct? The format /system is new for me, I hope cwm know what to do.

Please advise and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, found files on Xoom 2, but Mpeg 4 file won't play...why?

I am totally new to the Xoom 2 and have been asked to put some files - an MP4, Jpeg and couple of PDFS - on one. I have used the USB cable to connect to my PC, opened the internal storage and copied the files into a new folder. But, when I go to the tablet, I cannot find the new folder (although it is there if you go into settings, storage, misc - where the only option is to delete, not view). I have also tried copying the files into the Download folder, but when I go back to the tablet, the new files aren't there, just old ones I have already deleted.

I need to be able to see these files on the tablet. This may be a really stupid problem, but I need your help urgently!

I need help with this. I'm not sure if i'm looking in the wrong places, but all the methods seem outdated. I'm not that new at this and have a basic understanding of rooting. I just cant seem to find a guide anywhere and I am just playing it safe. I apologize if this is in the wrong place or if this forum already has a guide that I missed.

Hi Everyone,

The JB (EOS 3) browser has recently stopped keeping me logged into both Google sites and other websites. I stay logged in for a browser session, but when I reboot my Xoom or force close the browser, or even wait a while which forces pages to automatiically reload, the login does not persist and I have to signin to every site again. Username and password boxes populate properly, but the sites don't autologin.

This didn't used to happen. Historically, I only ever very rarely had to login to Google sites through the browswer - it used to do it automatically 99% of the time. Similarly, other website logins persisted for quite a long while - or until I logged into the same site via my PC.

I've tried clearing all passwords, cookies, and the cache - with no success. I've also made sure that all relevent "keep me logged in" tick boxes are ticked, on those sites that have them - still I get prompted to login again after rebooting the tablet. In addition, I've cleared the cache and Dalvik cache via recovery.

I was wondering whether anyone had any insight about why logins no longer persist on my Xoom. My thoughts are that cookies are not being stored properly, but I have no idea how to verify/resolve this.

Motorola xoom wifi So the other day I woke up to my tablet being dead, it was time for work so I plugged it in figuring the battery had ran down.


Get home that night and it wont turn on. Needless to say im still at that point. If I press and hold the power button and up vlm button I get the motorola symbol. Hitting the down vlm button gives me three options of android recovery, fastboot, and rsd


Selecting Android recovery says - Cold-booting linux. Reading ODM fuse:1


Selecting Fastboot says - Starting fastboot protocol support.


Selecting RSD says - Starting RSD protocol support 0. Onewire: Charger is not connected or battery is not being charged.... Battery charge level:99%


Not exactly sure whats happened. I havent installed any new software in a while and have been using it as normal for a long time.




Can anyone please help me? Is there any way for me to get it booted up? If I can get it booted up I can try to run a restore to factory on it.

Ive been running custom roms without issue. I got kind of tired of them and wanted to flash back to stock, so I downloaded a tool that did that, said it was for 4g. I used the same tool on my wifes wi-fi xoom and it worked fine, (obviously the wi-fi tool)

After I ran the tool on mine, it rebooted and I was able to setup my account, however, after the first update it just hangs at the Red M. I cannot use ADB commands, only fastboot.

In reading it looks like I need to fastboot or reload my bootloader, perhaps avalance 1.5?

Any advice?

When will we get jelly bean 4.2 and 4.3?

I had at least 3/4 battery left on my Xoom when it shut off. I cannot turn it on and when I plug in the charger, the light does not come on. Any suggestions that might work to turn it back on?
