That's the price we pay for 4g.
Ok, just spoke to Verizon again, went thru the normal customer service routines of power cycling, etc. They put me on hold while they spoke with Motorola. Now they say there was a misunderstanding and there must be something wrong with my Xoom. There was never a problem with 3.2.6 and there was never an update to fix a problem with 3.2.6 - they want me to send my Xoom to Motorola and promised a fast turn around and I will be up and running on 4G again. Ok, I will... Stay tuned.

This morning I get an email from Verizon stating that Motorola is replacing my Xoom. Hmmm, I will write down all the info on this one and see what really happens.

Never Fear the iOwl is Here
I am thinking that some of the initial 4g radios did not like the 3.2.6 update. Just a guess.

Well my Xoom is on its way to Motorola, they said it or its replacement should be back to me on Friday.

Shipped to Motorola on Monday FedEx overnight (their nickle) and scheduled to arrive today before 3pm from Verizon. Hmmm must be a replacement.
Edit - Nope, same unit. Verizon just sent the FedEx shipping notification, it actually came from Motorola.
Service Performed - Repair
Part - Software
Still on 3.2.6, nothing has changed as far as the version numbers in Settings are concerned.

No I did a complete backup and a factory data reset before I sent it in. We are not getting good 4G coverage at my office at the moment so Its hard to tell if it is fixed. I saw it flash to 4G once then back to 3G. I will take it to the Verizon store in a few minutes and let you know. They probably just flashed and reloaded all the default stuff.
