What absolute functional advantages can we see from this kernel?

We had 99% of this 1.4.2 update on the 16th. BRD has this as a "Riptide Special Edition". I wonder what changed, because the change log is identical to the 1.4.2 version we have in forum here.

This kernel has mass storage. It also has better performance. Their is no lag in typing on any site. At least a good running 720p video on flash.

On lauchpad too. Running realy well.
I always like trying out new kernels and have yet to be llet down. This "special" edition is pretty special.
