Did you do all the wipes before installing the rom? When I suggested this I thought it might have the option like on there wifi Moray rom to turn off the update. If you made a backup you can restore to get wifi back, also you might try the ICS EOS 1.0.0 rom. It's the most current up to date rom, I'm running it on the wifi version and am not getting any OTA notifications. On this rom you will need to download and flash the rom and the gapps package with no reboots between the two. There's a wifi, 3G and a 4G rom.

Grant I got my wifi working last night. Apparently the Wifi MAC address changed when I installed the ROM?? I use MAC filtering on my router and the address changed so my router was blocking. So Wifi working but still getting that dumb system update prompt.

Look at my post #51. I'm on EOS and I don't get the OTA notification. When you flashed 2.3.0 did you use Titanium Backup to restore system data?

I was getting the OTA and when I went to a Rom I restored system data and still got the OTA. Reflashed the Rom and and just restored apps and app data and got rid of the OTA, hopefully you will too.

I did a wipe and reinstalled the ROM, restore my apps and data, no system data. Still getting prompted.
Is the OTA file on my tablet someplace? Do I need to delete it?

Here's something that might be what you need. I just posted it for another member. If you try this, make sure and do a backup first before changing any files on your Xoom.
