    TWRP Installer

Currently not for the Xoom, but this thing is pretty awesome for phones. Would be nice to see a port for it on the xoom. It's touchscreen driven so no more soft buttons or hardware buttons.

    TeamWin Projects - TWRP 2.1 | TeamWin
Team Win Recovery Project 2.1, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

I've seen it before and it's available for both of my phones. If you're using it, how does it compare to the CWM Touch Recovery? I'm talking about performance as I'm not interested in theming my recovery, I've used the Amon RA recoverys on my G1 and Nexus One but have converted to the CWM Touch.

I've only been using it for about a week now on my GSG 4g phone. It was ported over by TeamAcid since my phone isn't officially supported by TWRP. It runs smooth and the operation speeds i would say are about the same if not a little faster than CWM Touch Recovery even with it's GUI which seems to have no negative affect what so ever on it's performance.

CWM Touch recovery is basically like most (good) recoveries out there as far as features go with just the addition of soft button usage.

TWRP adds a GUI with buttons you can simply click on. Checkboxes you check and uncheck simply by touching them on the screen. No more scrolling to get to your menu option with volume rocker buttons or having to use the softbuttons to scroll up and down to get to a particular item. It really simplifies the process.

    - File manager
    - More control over backup and restore

The good thing is it doesn't overwrite your current CW. So if you decide you no longer want to use it, on your next ROM flash your original CWM will return. TWRP has an inject option where it will re-inject itself each time you flash if you want to continue using it. It's definitely worth giving a try, you wont be disappointed. Something like this would make recovery on the xoom nice.

I agree, you might post this over at XDA in the Team EOS thread. Solarnz already has a soft keys recovery.

Hoping you guys can help. Installed TWRP without a problem. Trying to install a new rom is where my problems began. I downloaded the rom using goomanager. rebooted into TWRP verified that the Rom was in fact on the Xoom then proceeded to wipe and factory reset and then tried to install the updated room.

    set up as follows:

    zip file signature verification? unchecked
Force MD5 checks on all zips? unchecked

when I try to flash it says:
    verifying filesystem...
    verifying partition sizes...
    error flashing zip 'data/media/EOS-wingray-20120828.zip'

I have downloaded the latest ver of EOS and have it on the external SD but I can not get TWRP to read the file on the external SD
I have tried to select "Using external SD" as well as "Using internal storage"
neither seem to allow me to browse to the file that I have put on the external sd.

I have also tried to click mount in TWRP and made sure mount SDcard is checked.
does anyone know how to either get TWRP to install a file from the root directory of the external SDcard, or is there a way to mount a xoom stuck in TWRP using usb so I can move the file from my pc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
