ICS and Norton mobile security

    ICS and Norton mobile security

    updated to ICS last night and it's knocked out my norton nms app I can download av updates the nice man at norton can extend my subscription but there is a conflict somewhere my subscription screen shows valid dates but the tray icon reports sub as expired. Norton are very helpful and trying hard to resolve but no joy so far. the free avg app works fine but not norton.

    Anyone else having the same problem or are Norton going to get thoisands of calls when ICS rolls out??

    I saw someone else say that on the private tester's forum (unless it was you?). I just use Lookout which has no problem, so I can't comment.

    strange thing is marketplace has a free lite version and that works but the nms download on their website, the full paid verdion does not, am beginning to think they need to get some coding done!!

    i was an avid lookout user.now im using avast antivirus.ive used avast on windows for 12 years with no virus problems.

    UPDATE.. After a good few hours talking to a very nice indian chap, I now have NORTON FOR TABLETS, installed and working, even started my subscription off at a yearagain to compensate for the problems, so hats off to the Norton tech guys!!

    Strange thing is that the free marketplace app works with ICS but my paid version which was running since May with no problems didn't want to know---

    I too have been using Avast for several years, but I have to admit I got a virus recently on my Windows PC that Avast didn't handle properly. Had to cleanse via Malwarebytes, and am now running that as well.

    Until I hear of a valid threat I will watch my downloads and not download unneed apps.

    I do not even run AV on my Mac or Linux boxes.
