    You can not accept the OTA if you're rooted. If you want 4.0.4 and you're rooted flash one of the EOS stable roms or nightlies.

    did you try this with the stock recovery (not the custom, ie rooted version)?

    Assuming you know how to flash the base firmware on the device (if you don't let me know), follow this link to the Motorola site and get the appropriate firmware for your device.

    Using this firmware will bring you back to the stock firmware that originally was realesed for your Xoom, assuming we are still talking about a WiFi-only Xoom you will be getting the updates within minutes of completeing the return to stock firmware.

    IMHO, stick with this for the least amount of hassle...

    ggrant, this is what I see happening all too often, people follow a procedure without really understanding what they are getting into, and as much as I understand it is a free world, I think as a community we should be a little more careful about just suggesting modifications that do require specific handling of future updates and the possible restrictions they may include.
