Question What to restore when going from HC to ICS

I'm using Rogue XM Recovery 1.3.0

I successfully updated everything from my previous Taimat ROM to ICS Wingray 2.0.0. No problems with the installation. Works great.

My question is regarding the "restore" from my previous nandroid that I made before starting this process.

Under the advanced restore options I see:
    • Restore boot
    • Restore system
    • Restore data
    • Restore cache

Which of these do I want to restore when I'm moving from a Honeycomb based ROM to an ICS based ROM? Does it matter? I stopped myself before restoring anything because it struck me that maybe restoring some of those would be a problem. Obviously, I'd like to restore as much as I can as long as it doesnt cause any conflicts.

    Thanks!

You don't restore anything HC based as you're on ICS now. Make a backup of your current ICS and you'll be good to go. After you've got HC the way you want and you're sure you're not going back you can delete the old HC nandroid.

    Excellent. Thanks.

For some reason I thought maybe the data from my apps would be restorable. It doesn't really make that much of a difference regardless.

App data might be but you would need to restore it with Titanium Backup not CWM.

Yep titanium backup can restore app data. Use that instead.
