Just changed from HC to ICS V2.0.0, couple questions please.
OK, forgot how much work it is to try and get your home screens set back up.
Probably will have more questions as I progress, or not, through the re-setup.
Biggest thing right now is how to stop the nag screen that pops up after you select an option in the menu you get when you press and hold the power button?
I have seen the same message, basically, are you sure you want to do ...? after you select shutdown or reboot. May happen with the others, but have not tried them yet.
Is this menu coming from having quick boot? I have opened quick boot and looked at the settings and do not have anything checked, so all options should show and no popup.
I have gone through all the choices, or at least to the best of my abilities, in the settings menu and do not see anything about confirmations.
Secondly, I thought that the default color scheme in ICS was the ICS blue. The wifi signal strength icon, the battery % text and the clock on the right side of the status bar(?) is ICS blue, or what I believe is ICS blue.
But the buttons on the left for back, home, and recent apps are not ICS blue, they look white or greyish. I can not see where these can be changed. Where do you do this, please? I know there is some hacks to change the soft keys, but they should be blue by default, right?
Thanks, Chris.

I am not sure if this is amazing or disappointing.
As of right now, 73 views and not a single viewer knows the answers. Or just not willing to help out?
Silly me, I thought that this was the purpose of a forum like this.
Following instructions while in HC, I got the mouse cursor changed to one I liked and the soft keys changed to ICS blue ones with the choice of text or graphics. I have made nandroids per instructions, and even was able to follow the instructions to change from HC to ICS using downloads that I even followed instructions on the need to and the how to of verifying them as being good downloads prior to flashing.
Back to HC for me. Maybe someone in ICS will eventually write the instructions that will answer my questions above and an instruction follower like myself will finally be able to "enjoy" the ICS experience. Sooner or later bugs will be worked out and the forum helpers will break free from all those who cannot follow instructions and might just get the time for the "now you have ICS loaded and working" stuff.
Later, Chris.

I'm not sure about the boot message - quite honestly I don't tend to reboot my tablet that often... so it really hasn't bothered me. Do you boot your tablet that often that the 'nag' screen causes you frustration? As far as the icons in the status bar being of different colours, they are. But I've changed my status bar to a deep red, the clock & battery icon to a lighter red (to sort-of match the Norton icon next to it) and downloaded a pleasant earthy background that matches the whole lot up. Great fun. Titanium ensured all the proggies were back and running in no time. But now that's done, I just tend to enjoy my tablet for what it is. The 4.04 update (ICS 2) seems very stable and I'm sure the battery life has improved. HC seems like a distant past.

BY "ICS v2.0.0" I am guessing you have rooted & flashed Team EOS stable 2.0.0.
So, with that in mind, the menu from long-pressing the power button is baked in & is the default response; this makes accessing the other options such as booting into recovery more convenient.
The only taskbar pieces that are in the Holo blue are the clock, connectivity icons, and battery icon. All the rest are in the white/light grey. There are mods to allow coloring those--I will eventually look into one (BTW, CNA has that mod baked in).
For setting up home screens, take a look at Nova, Apex, or Tebuchet launchers. THey will allow you to back up the settings. I use Nova & rebuilding the home screens is easy now; most of it restores right away, and the widgets are much easier to get back up.
