Finally Rooted and upgraded to ICS last night!

Omg, finally did it! My Motorola warranty expired at the end of April...so I took the plunge, rooted, and flashed the Tiamat kernel and Team EOS ICS 2.0. The speed I'm getting from the OC is amazing. And ICS is so smooth and FC free! I love it! I can't believe it took me this long to get off stock! Its like having a brand new device.

So for all the complaining I did back in the day about my SD card, and 4g...I still would have paid over a grand in two iOS devices, not gotten near the functionality I have now....and my hardware still wouldn't be as good. With ICS ROM, Xoom is the best gadget decision I ever made! Huge thanks to the dev community for kicking azz!

Congrats Sophie! Reading your post really took me back in time and brought back exactly how I felt after the first time I rooted my Xoom. In fact, I remember writing a nearly identical post. LOL

+1,000,000 for your guide man! I started with a guide on xda...though oddly enough one of the adb commands was typed wrong... Fastbook vs fastboot. Lol. Took me a bit to figure it out. But I went you your rookie rooting guide and straightened it all out. And it took about 20 minutes and another 20 to reset home screens, and copy files from my NAS. But it was totally pain free.

I highly recommend it. If I knew it was gonna be this awesome...I wouldn't have waited for warranty expiration!
