Re-Lock Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi+3G (MZ601)

With the ICS Update "reportedly" being rolled out by the end of July.

I thought I'd make an easy tool to re-lock your XOOM. This will erase all data and put the xoom back to the unbranded build. There are currently 3 OTAs to get the XOOM to 3.2.

The tool is 106MB and is provided via a torrent for easier sharing. Please seed to allow other users to get the tool.
I have tested this on my XOOM Wi-Fi+3G (MZ601) and it worked fine, I cannot guarantee it will work on yours though - any problems let me know and I'll see what I can do.

This tool uses

Build H.6.1-38-1 for Retail Europe (UK, Greece, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Ireland) but i

f it is well liked i can make similar tooks for the other builds.


Step 1) Install a torrent program like µTorrent
Step 2) Click this Magnet Link to download the torrent
Step 3) Once the file (Re-Lock Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi+3G (MZ601).exe) has downloaded double click on it
Step 4) Read and agree to the notice

Step 5) Follow the on screen instructions to enable USB Debugging and press any key

Step 6) Read the prompt that ALL DATA WILL BE LOST, press ctrl+c to cancel or any key to continue

Step 7) Wait for the prompt "To continue, follow instructions on the device's display..." on the XOOM read the notice from Motorola and press volume down then volume up to select I Agree, then volume down then volume up to select Yes.

Step 8) You XOOM should now be re-locked, press any key to exit the tool.

And how exactly are you accounting for the numerous different regional ROMs? Every region around the world runs a different ROM, so you either have to provide every single one and a list to select the one you need, or your tool will only be of use to those in your region.

As you newly join and first time poster with new tools. Much appreciated if you can introduce more detail about it and with basic steps by steps such as extract.zip file using (winrar or 7zip..etc), locate the file at desktop? or C:/drive?..etc. Video or picture tutorial or some screenshot are much apreciated, if any.

Please bear in mind that not all user would like to take the challenge to explore new tools and not all of them understand simple instruction.

Dont get me wrong and I would like to assist if possible..
