Not sure what I've done wrong, but def not having the same 4g luck as the rest... open to ideas...

You have to flash the radios one time. Here is a link for the file to flash but you have to be using rogue touch recovery. The eos recoverry wont flash it for some reason. Goo.im Downloads - Downloading imm76l-radios-update.zip
Then flash the version and latest jb gapps and you should be up and running

Things are now blowing up.
Apparently i lost root, and I was under the impresh that flashing universal root zip would re-root.... not working that way.

not sure whats up, but lost root while flashing 109, reflashed EOS 2.0.0 & UnivRoot, everything is back to normal. For what its worth, i could not successfully flash univroot while running 4.1.1/EOS 109. Then again this may all be old news. In which case, I will go back to lurking.

Do you have the Rogue Recovery installed yet? If so :
Boot to recovery
Flash the Radio
Reboot
Boot to recovery
Wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, wipe data factory reset
Flash the latest nightly and the gapps
Reboot
