Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. What model Xoom do you have? There's an easier JB root guide here, post #5.

Hello! New to this forum; hope I'm following correct protocol.

I have a Xoom MZ604 WiFi only, ICS. I attempted to begin the rooting process and inadvertently deleted the "logo.bin" file. Have I totally messed up, or is there a way to recover?

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Is your Xoom stuck in a boot loop or something? You need to follow post 5 in this thread to root JB.

    Thanks for responding.

I began the rooting process before the JB update was released, so I am currently on ICS. Would the suggested thread still be the best option?

I detail my problem here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/40350-nee...db-on-my-xoom/. These are the rooting instructions I was following: [How To] Root the Wifi-Only Xoom (3.0.1) - Motorola Xoom - RootzWiki.

I'll go check out the thread. Thanks.

I detail my problem here: NEED HELP NOW (or ASAP) with rooting, log.bin, fastboot, and ADB on my Xoom - Motorola - RootzWiki. These are the rooting instructions I was following: [How To] Root the Wifi-Only Xoom (3.0.1) - Motorola Xoom - RootzWiki.

I'll go check out the thread. Thanks.
The thread you suggested is for JB, not ICS. Plus, I was already partway into the rooting process and deleted my logo.bin file (out of ignorance). Only later did I realize the instructions I had been following were for HC rather than ICS.

When I start up now, my screen says:

    Model: MZ604. Revision: p0 (0x8000). Modem: none.
    Serial Number: 037c708841ffc317

    Bootloader version: 1049
    Build Date: June 17 2011, 12:18:09

OS will boot in 5 seconds
Press a key to stop count down

    Available modes are:
    1 RSD
    2 Fastboot
    3 Android Recovery
    -----------------------------------
Vol UP/Back to select, Vol Down
    for next choice

    Current choice is mode:
    --> Fastboot

    Screenshot here:
    https://mail-attachment.googleuserco...wma1efHiBXenvs

I can scroll through the three options with Vol. - , then pressing Vol. + executes selected mode.

What should be my next step?
