My JB Experience so Far
I got JB via the OTA. The one thing that I was really looking forward to was the "smooth as butter" promise. Once the load was done, I was very disappointing and the Xoom was anything but "smooth". In fact, it was worse than ICS. It seemed to just stall frequently as if the CPU was too busy to keep up with things. Surprisingly, over the course of about two or three days of use, things improved. Maybe there's something to be said for doing a factory reset before loading a major release.
I did discover something that I don't recall seeing in ICS. Normally, if you tap the left or right edge of the screen on any of the home screens, it will switch to the screen without having to do a full swipe. In JB, that still works until you go to the apps list and then back to home. After that , the left and right taps no longer work. I finally figured out that if you rotate to portrait and then back to landscape, the taps work again. has anyone else experienced this?
My next step will be to root and start loading the EOS nightly builds.

You might try a soft reboot and the root process for 4.1.1 is a little different than 4.0.4 and below.
Rooting Jellybean 4.1.1 OTA.
SGS-IV-Stock_Rooted
Nexus 4 - CyanMod 10.1
SGS-II - Rooted - Jedi Mind Trick VX3
Samsung Note II - Jedi Master 13
Motorola Xoom - WiFi - Rooted - EOS 4.2.1 Nightlies

Nope, soft reboot didn't change anything. Curious if anyone else has this same issue?

I've heard this a lot on the forums. It seems to be with the ota people. I would do a complete wipe first to see if that solves any issues. If you haven't unlocked your bootloader or are flashing a new ROM a wipe is recommended anyways. If that doesn't fix the issues then try a ROM.
Jelly Bean sucks?!

very suprised! now just one question. do you have an official wifi xoom or did you gedify your xoom to receive the ota? personally i've always love custom roms due to the fact that they always add very useful/customization tools that google seems to not want to include. i'm using eos nightly 128 (wifi) on my 3g (no mobile data) and i've had nothing but a buttery smooth experience since i flashed nightly 1.

Yes, it has been widely reported. Rotate is generally delayed as well. I still have the problem, pretty much the only issue I have with JB

Just rooted, backed up and installed latest stable EOS... still has same homescreen bug.

As far as i have seen this is a bug in jb and since all the roms., factory or cooked are based on the same core, they all have it. But is it that big of a deal that jb sucks because of it? I got a chuckle at that post. I think ics had it as well.
