Disappearing WiFi after 4.1.2

I was so excited when my Xoom updated to 4.1.2, unfortunately ever since then I've had a very annoying problem. Every time my tablet goes to sleep for more than a minute or so (I haven't timed it) the WiFi cuts out. The really odd thing is that it says I have full 4 bars, yet no web pages, Twitter, or anything else internet related will load. My trick fix it is turn on Airplane Mode, tgen turn it back off.

Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas?

Go to settings, WiFi, triple dot icon on top right, touch advanced, check to see what is set for WiFi on during sleep.

Sometimes when I unlock my Xoom the Wi-Fi signal icon bars are grey and don't change to blue. When this happens I can only browse the router's admin pages and can't go online. I either wait and the bars turn blue, which can take a while or doesn't happen at all, or turning Wi-Fi off and on sorts it out. It has only been doing this since 4.1.2.

I've never seen that setting before but I checked it and it was indeed set to "Always". For the heck of it I set it to Never, then back to Always.
