Hi Cazza, I am new to the forum and to the xoom, had it about a week know, any reason why you have not rooted ours.

ANyway, for your question, does this look like the issue you are experiencing:

The format should work, but it might be that your viewsonic is limited to 800x480 as a screensize. Does it run Froyo?

Your Xoom-MP4 files should work on the ViewSonic as well. The Xoom files are in h264/avc format.
