    Why the rounded corners?

Does anybody really buy rounded corners make the Xoom easier to hold ???

That has to be the most retarded thing I heard from Motorola Mobility in ages.

What rounded corners mean is a larger device, the actual screen does not change size and shape does not change but because the device is not rectangular the screen can not be extended to the edge of the device.

Seems to me to be a selling gimmick. Kind of like cars. "The newer slim sexier lines" thing. And maybe if you drop it, never mind

Actually rounded corners do make it easier to hold in that no sharp corners to "dig" into your palm. Also makes it less likely to scratch desktops or be damaged hitting it on the corner. And rounded corners are more "pleasing" to the eye and make it slide in and out of cases easier.

I wouldn't call the corners of the Xoom 2 rounded -- I would call them ugly.

You are not everyone. I also hold mine with the bottom corners resting in my palms.

Exactly - everyone to their own, and I like it.

I often support the Xoom left edge and the righ bottom corner lies on my hand, here is the thing, the corners on the Xoom are rounded. In the 6 months I owned the device I never said "Ouch it is digging my hand" . Does not matter anyway somebody be out of the their mind to buy a Motorola Xoom 2 when the Transformer Prime is a better device all around at the same price.
