Ram-Mount bike mounted Xoom, got it, love it!

OK naysayers, say what you want. Primarily bought this for indoor winter training, but will MOST CERTAINLY be taking this with me on my rides in the VERY near future, like in 2 hours. Been riding hard for more than 20 years and know the difference between responsible riding an irresponsible riding. Also am a pilot, so know if/when to keep eyes on the road/up and when to glance at a screen, if need be.

Am in Manhattan and do not intend to EVER leave the Xoom on my bike unattended, it pops out in one second. Also
bikes do not just "fall over" and if they do, they will fall on handlebars, not the Xoom. And yes, my Xoom has $10/mo accidental protection. Already replaced once for crack screen.

The Ram-Mount design is GENIUS, spring loaded very tight and very strong. You can put it in almost any position. And with 1 simple oversized wing nut, take it off all the way down to the u-bolt and a small ball.

I have 5 other bikes, and only have to order the u-bolt mount portion for the rest. I'll take some videos soon of everything, including a happy rider.

    Cool. Crazy, but cool.

Crazy is why we own Android products and not Scrapple.

I'd definately fear falling with that on there. And with that on there I predict you're more likely to fall.
Youre braver than me, that pad holder would have to be aerospace standard before I trust it to hold my precious on a bike..

A thread opened up recently looking for xoom spares, I hope you're not posting in there too soon.

I have a setup like this on my Can-am Spyder, 3 wheeler. Great for using as a huge gps, or whatever else suits you.

i already weighed all the risks. in 22 years and 15K miles per year of riding i've only fell 1 time and it was a clean slide. also have insurance with $100 deductible even if i send it back in 1000 pieces. the mount is industrial grade quality. and quite frankly would be more scared damaging my bike than i would my xoom, its insured. the bike is only insured only if stolen from home and worth 10x as much as the xoom. so ... law of averages weigh up in favor of xoom on bike.
