Seriously, the case is fine to use with hands, you can flop the back out of that little catch and just hold it as usual, plus it makes it very easy to take out and about as the little stand bit folds round the front to protect the screen. I'll attach a picture to explain because even i can't imagine what i've just tried to explain

Most cases have openings in all the correct places, even for the little light that comes on when you have an email. You can easily switch it out of the case, but i haven't wanted to since i got it. Your plate holder is doing a grand job, who need's cases? NOT YOU MR.PLATEMAN

I had a case like that for my Advent Vega and so I bought one for my Xoom and it is just as useful in being able to stand the tablet upright. But it does not have a hold cut out for the charger plug to connect without the cover of the case being folded back - although I might need to punch a small hole in the base of it to allow that. I just wish that Motorola had positioned the charging connector and HDMI port on the side. It would have been great to have had a full sized USB port also on the side but I have just bought a micro USB / USB lead and that works fine for connecting a USB stick.

When I need to charge it or use the ports, I just turn the Xoom upside down, so the ports are on top. I did this for a while, when I was using a USB mouse.

I had posted this a little while ago. With this tablet holder I have access to all the plug in ports.
    I made my own accessory
For speakers I like to use Manhattan Bluetooth Speakers.

I do the same. It does resolve the concern that I have when the tablet is on charge as it seems a little vulnerable for the charging tip / socket to be damaged.
