Which accessories do you love, and which are a waste of $$ ?

I bought the standard dock for mine without doing research.

I use my Xoom for development testing, and needed something to set the Xoom in but the standard dock doesn't have USB, so it is totally useless.

There is a mod to solder USB in it, but haven't gotten to that yet.

Since then, I've been using a $1 chrome-wire plate stand as a "dock"

You dont need to solder anything. A 90 degree angled OTG cable can fit in the standard dock pretty easy. Remove the old and place the new in and run it out the back. It breaks the audio out though. And you need to cut the black plastic around the microUSB

I got as far as taking the cover of the dock off, but didn't want to continue with it. My skills with physical tools usually involves a collection of bandages.

The plate-holder-dock is more universal

Well I just bought the HD Dock for $20 and it will replace a standard dock I use everyday. With a mouse and dock the Xoom is great for consuming, with a keyboard you get moderate productivity. So it depends on what you use your Xoom for.

I have bought a lot of cases for my Xoom and my kids' and have settled on the leather case from Verizon as the nicest. It fits very snugly and allows mounting in both the standard and HD dock without removal from the case. I picked up several docks during Verizon's firesale and use them often.

Best thing I've got....otterbox defender case.....worst....would be the Motorola standard portfolio case.

I use my BT keyboard & mouse only when it's plugged into the telly in the lounge which is very rairly, but I use the HD dock constantly.

Ye the official moto case is pathetic for what they were charging for it. £30 for a thin sheet of card is disgusting! I paid £7 for a padded pu case on ebay that's better, I've thrown it in my bag with all sorts and it's still like new. Only its now a GED no thanks to motos lies!
