    xoom as a desktop, accessories..

    I will be visiting my family in a week for a month almost, and wanted to use my xoom as a computer there. so far
    Monitor with HDMI (spare one)
    Micro to regular HDMI cable
    USB powered hub
    USB keyboard
    USB mouse
    USB OTG micro to USB adapter
    Power adapter


    Am I missing anything?

    Gotta agree. Short of some sort of speaker/headphones, I can't see anything. Unless you need to do some cloud printing.

    yup, forgot about speakers but I got some spare set I can use

    There are apps out there to let you print over a network, but the ones I tried require installing something on another computer that has a printer connected to it. But I believe if you have a network printer that doesn't require connection to a computer, you can simply connect over the network. There are threads on these forums discussing it which are posted below.
    I used the Google Cloud Print, with limited success. But then, that was probably due more to the fact that some kids in the house messed my printer up and me not knowing it until days afterwards.

    For the keyboard, why not go wireless. That's one less cable to drag around and one less port in use on your hub.

    any good way to access a usb thumb drive or hard drive? When I plug it in, I cant seem to find it

    You need to root and install a custom kernel or ROM to get USB mass storage capability.

    its rooted. I downloaded the usb mass storage watcher otg and it seems to work good.
