(and you will) The xoom is MUCH too heavy and EXPENCIVE for such a mount! (YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR) My mount is BOLTED to the metal frame behind my dash panel MUCH more secure. GOOD LUCK with your $10.79 decision.

Suction Cups SUCK big time! It's the worst thing you can do! Not only for the Xooms (which are heavy!) but also for the GPS units, mobile phones, etc. You will, indeed, eventually loose suction and you will find yourself frustrated for this when you find your device at the floor of your car (if you are lucky!) :-)

For smaller devices I always use air vent mounting solutions. For the Xoom I would strongly recommend a Seat Bolt Mounting solution like this one. I just hope that there will be one out soon with longer flexible arm as having your device that low is not convenient at all - also it won't make your wife sitting on the side happy at all :-)

Of course suction cups suck, but they are easily modified to a solid mount. The problem with those mounts is they flex too much when the car turns or hits a bump. I have had plenty of suction cup mounts for GPS and other gadgets, just bolt them down, its easy.

It's easy - but you will need to permanently drill some holes on your car surfaces which doesn't sound to me. I insist that the seat bolt solutions is by far the best!

No not really, you can bolt them to all kinds of things without drilling holes, but like I said, it still is a very flimsy holder, that's the real problem, shakes too much for auto or motorhome.

Sure you can buy brackets from places like Padholdr, Ram, or make your own. Drilling holes in the dash is not necessary. Your seat bolt option will not work in most motorhomes and many cars.

Have we beat this to death now?
