    Question Google Music...Duplicate Songs - HELP

    Hey, I've recently started using Google Music (Last Night) But...I've come across a problem, I've started to upload all my songs to Google Music but I find that whenever I open the Music App on my Xoom the songs are duplicated..Why? Is anyone else experiencing this issue and would be able to tell me how to resolve it?

    You can just delete the duplicates via the online interface.

    Quick question, did you all ready have this music loaded on your Xoom? What might be happening is the app may be showing both a local and cloud instance of your music. What worked well for me was to delete whatever music I had on my Xoom, then pinned specific artists/albums/playlists for offline access. Hope that helps!

    ALL songs are duplicated?

    You will get a duplication if you have a song, or an album, on the storage within your Xoom, and then upload the same song or album to Google Music. The option top right on the screen allows you to view only offline music, to check this.

    When you signed up, you were able to get a lot of free songs. Some of these also came free on your Xoom, so they may be duplicated (one offline, one online)

    But if ALL your uploads are duplicated, beyond those explained above, then that's a new one . . no explanation.

    Yes its the ones I have locally stored on the Xoom, It's quite annoying seeing the duplications Lolol, Thanks for the info!

    Awesome, glad we could help! I really like the app, it seems very fluid (especially with an oc kernel from our great devs) and easy to navigate. The streaming works great, very quick to play a song, and the web interface is pretty slick.

    this is a slight differnt approach to solve ur problem. i had all my music on a sd card and all player would dup all my songs. i have tried to del all song and start over. i even took out the micro sd card w/o any luck. the player double twist fixed it for me. hope this helps all the other w/ this same prob.

    Hi, we suggest you remove the duplicate songs. You can try Duplicate Filter from Duplicate Filter -- Free Software to Find and Remove Duplicate Files. It can instantly find, compare and manage duplicate files in your computer and neighborhood computers. I can rename, move or remove duplicates after finding duplicate mp3 music, songs, photos, images, videos, documents and other files. It really does a great job.
