Mel is not known to listen to customers. Back in the day there were several linux scripts that were able to connect to and stream the channels. Maybe one day when it is really broken someone will bring those to light on Android for the same capability.

unfortunately it doesn't seem that anyone there is listening to customers. How many thousands of Android tablets are out there now and even if a small percentage of them wanted to listen it is still a pretty big number. Treating customers like they are too stupid to understand seems to be a popular theme of business these days. just look at the Motorola forum. they changed it and made it so user un-friendly and have been promising for months to make it better but the other day they changed it and made it worse. More promises that they will fix it but nothing happens. I used to post there all the time. It was a friendly site especially when the xoom first came out a year ago. but I hardly go there anymore. real shame.

I am happy to report that SIRIUSXM now works on the Xoom. You need to get the 2.0 APK which is not available on the Xoom in the Playstore. I retrieved the file from my phone.

So, now i see what the poster meant about 'it works' now. the app appears to have been updated to work with tablets. it gives a nice full screen, looks like HD and yes it will buffer 5 hours. It also will start at the begining of the song that was playing when you hit the channel or just pick up where it is, your choice. also just found a button in the upper right hand corner that changes the display to Favorites sort of like bookmarks in the browser. so your whole display is all of your bookmarks.

I have it on both of my cars but haven't decided to pay the extra to get it on my phones and xoom.

I think i finally got them to reduce it to $4 a month for me for two years since i have 4 radios. they actually gave it to me for free for a year after their free period expired at the begining. but I play it all the time on my xoom. not sure why they are not allowing it. seems like they could sell quite a few subscriptions that way. they claim you can already get it with a browser so they were not going to develop an app. but the browser isn't very good. And I wonder if it works for any of the tablets with their app. not sure about it but i bet there is an ipad app. I have a nice little bluetooth speaker set from Logitech that sounds fairly good and use it with that all the time. love it

Edit: actually just checked and I am paying $3 a month for it. seems worth it to me as I use it a lot on my xoom.
