can I get blackberry mail on my xoom?

    Hi Guys,

I was just talking with a friend that got a blackberry tablet, which I didnt really like, but he showed me that he can get the mail from his blackberry phone that would be something really great for me.
do you know if there is some kind of application that does that?

PS: i am not talking about "usual mail", my blackberry is a company phone and the mail we are talking about are on the company server.

    Hope there is a way

    Company E-mail on XOOM

Sorry, I don't have any experience with your question. But I do recall there are sections in both "Xoom, The Missing Manual", and "Xoom for Dummies" on doing exactly what you want. In both cases it required working closely with your company IT to get the specifics.

no luck...apparently what I wanted to do is not possible...it may be possible asking for the configuration from the IT departement but this would be out of policy so nothing to do...

it looks like only the BB tabled does it

Actually there is a way, sort of... You are correct, email such as that sent via the BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) will not come to the Xoom, it requires a number of different processes to make this happen, none of which exist for an Android tablet AFAIK.

The easy work around if your company supports it is to use 'Web based' access, for my company that is as simple as opening a browser and going to 'webmail.xyz.com', entering my id and password just as if I was on a company supported PC. With this access I can get all of my Outlook based email on my tablet just by logging in.

What happens with the BB Playbook is it runs some software called a "Bridge" and it kinda allows you to see your mail on the BB phone. In essence the Playbook does not get the mail, it's a large slave screen to the phone, which needs to be "bridged" with the Playbook to view your mail.
