Is there a GOOD calendar app?

I'm looking for a GOOD calendar app. I've tried quite a few but all are lacking in some way or another. I'm looking for

    • good integration with Google calendar, i.e. showing ALL the calendars I've got on my Google a/c (most apps seem only to find the main calendar and not the added ones)
    • Display of times on the calendar. I understand the need to keep displays small for phones but this is a bigger device.
    • All day events should be shown.
    • Different colours for each calendar type. Basically my Google calendar has general events, birthdays and work calendars. They should each be shown with a different colour.
    • The calendar should be available offline (otherwise I'd simply use Google calendar on the web!)
    • It would be nice if there were also a to-do facility, though that's not essential.

As I said I've tried many apps and only found the google calendar app which even can show all the different calendars but its implementation on android seems lacking. Possibly I'm doing something wrong but if so, then it shouldn't be that hard!

It doesn't matter whether this app is free or not but I would require at least a free trial to see that it works as I want.

    Any ideas??

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Unfortunately I don't use a calendar app but I'm sure a lot of our members do.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I have looked at cozi but it suffers (from my POV) of not synchronising with google cal and also not displaying events on the monthly, etc. views. It may be a possibility once I've decided that there simply aren't any suitable apps (and assuming I'm not prepared to develop my own) but it would mean a complete change in the way I work and that shouldn't really be necessary for such a relatively simple requirement.

I am using Pocket Informant. It's not free--though I got it on an Amazon Free App deal, I would pay for it if I had to. It pretty much does all the things you asked for. It accesses all your Google calendars, can set & show the colors and you can filter what calendars it syncs. It will sync the data so it's available offline. You have a month, week, and day view; on the day view it shows your events by time slot. There is a task list & that will sync with the Google ones; you can show the tasks on the calendar or not.

Been using Pocket Informant for years and love it. I tried many before PI, but once I found it, I am very happy

    Thanks!

I use Informant. It is an app that has been around for a long time on other platforms.
