NOTE: Facebook is temporarily disabled while we fix some authentication issues.

Here are some of the things included in this build:

Improved app icon dragging & dropping, as well as app tray icon re-ordering.
Improved feel of scrolling components (Launcher, App Tray, Home Screen Manager)
Reduced start-up time, added loading indicator.
Fixed crash/reset bug when docking/undocking.
Put map back into location selector, without affecting compatibility.
Other miscellaneous bug and crash fixes.
Here are some of the things we are still working on:

Widgets sometimes not working as expected (still work in progress).
There aren’t enough widgets (more are on their way).
Widgets appearing blank (widget is still there, but no content is displayed).
Widgets being drawn twice in the same area (text doubling).
Chameleon can take a long time to start (this has been improved, and will get better with subsequent updates).
Chameleon not working with ROM “X” (our current focus is on maximizing compatibility with official Android versions and tablets).

0.8.3 seems to run smoother. All the widgets seem to load on their own now. Still very long load time.

That’s right, we are starting to expose the Chameleon Widget API to light – meaning all you eager developers can start creating Widgets today! The API is still Beta – but we just couldn’t wait any longer, so over the coming weeks we will be working with you to improve both the API and supporting materials. We are just as excited as you are to start seeing those Widgets come to life!

To get started, just click the “Make a Widget” Widget and follow the instructions from there.

Here are some of the things included in this build:

Fixed problem with Chameleon crashing on dock/undock with some Samsung devices.
Re-designed Dashboard switching prompt (for context changes).
Reduced memory footprint.
Updated “Edit Conditions” view to work better on high-res devices.
Fixed issue with custom wallpapers on high-res devices.
Miscellaneous bug and crash fixes.
Updated grid layout for 10″ portrait mode and 7″ landscape mode.
All widgets were updated to work with the new grid layouts.
Added Widget API and ability to create your own Widgets.

I can't understand how they have so many ppl happy with this. Per the forum. Which has maybe 100 ppl taking up this app. I post anything negative and here they come to the defense. Sad. This thing won't do great in the app store. The public will eat em alive. As it stands now if this was on the market out of beta I personally wouldn't pay more than 2 bucks. And then probably, if I had enough time, ask for a refund. They went from 8.3 to 9.0 over night and are expecting a full release this month. Obviously this is just my opinion. Your experience may be better than mine.

0.9.5 update

Here are some of the things included in this build:

Added Dashboard Manager animations when adding/deleting a Dashboard.
App Tray icons no longer get cut-off by some devices.
Additional start-up time improvements.
Fixed a major bug in the web views used for widgets causing bloated memory.
Home Screens now go into an ‘Sleepy’ mode when inactive for a period of time.
Fixed issue where widgets still sometimes appeared blank (fingers*crossed).
Fixed issue where widgets sometimes appear to be continually loading.
There is now a max of only 4 home screens.
Added “Shout-Outs” section, to make our Kickstarter backers famous! Thanks for the support.
Can now post tweets/updates from Twitter and Facebook Widgets when the native apps are installed.
Added, updated and finalized the default Chameleon wallpapers.
Some things we are still working on:
Gmail widget is still blocking a lot of authentication requests.
Google+ widget is coming soon.
Calendar widget is coming soon.

Here are some of the things included in this build:

Fixed the “blank widget” problem. (For real this time [we think...]).
Deactivated Dashboard Sleeping. (Needs a bit more work). They will appear as sleeping at startup, though.
7″ Tablets can now have 5 Dashboards. 10″ are limited to 4.
Here are some of the things we are still working on:

Sometime Gmail/Twitter widget can’t authenticate (this is because you need to be on automatic time)
Calendar widget coming really soon.
Google+ widget coming soon.

It still takes forever to load. I have to tap on wait for it to finally load. Still sucking down that memory usage. I keep posting problems on their forum. Anyway look for update in the play store.

I As well as many others here were beta testing it. My opinion is - no way is this ready. But that's just my thoughts after trying many launchers. It may be for you. To each their own
