I have an MZ604...WiFi. Do I need one with a phone capacity in order to use this App or does the App give the ability to send text messages regardless?
I have the Mz604 and connect it to my gnex I can text make calls and receive both with this app as long as you have a Bluetooth headset supported by your Xoom and the tablet is within 10 meters of your phone.
Sent from a fellow Androidians Xoom ^_^
HTC Desire - Rooted / S-off (dead) Galaxy Nexus i9250 - stock
Motorola Xoom WiFi - Rooted TWRP 220.127.116.11 EoS 3 nightlie 155 OC'd to 1.6
Sony smart watch
This app is the workaround for tablets with no phone capacity, so for your MZ604 it must be paired with an Android smartphone first.

Thank you a very concise and informative response. Unfortunately, I use an iPhone so will be unable to utilize the App.
