Wi-Fi Direct

I am trying to find a way to use wifi direct to transfer my music, videos, and picture between my Xoom and GS3. I have tried several different apps on the market and my Xoom gives me a transfer failed error every time. I currently am rooted and using Cyanogenmod 9 stingray nightlies from 8-19. Is there anyone using an app that works, or can I set my phone up as a hotspot and use the lan connection and its es file explorer to send them, and reverse the process to send from phone to xoom? I have heard ICS has issues using Wi-Fi Direct on some devices, so should I go back to using Team EOS JB nightlies? I'd rather not go to JB if possible because I frequent sites still using flash. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. I use google play music and transfer wirelessly from my PC to my phone and Xoom.

Those are good options if I am home near my computer or where I have service . I'd like the option to use the Wi-Fi direct if possible.

Me too, heard Team EOS is going to include it as a feature in the JB nightlies soon.

Let's hope so, hate that we have the feature but no way to use it.
