Grocery List app that pulls from store lists?
I like creating shopping lists primarily based on the weekly fliers, so the list ends up on that store's website. Then I end up doing copy/paste into GroceryIQ. I like the app, but I'd love if there's an app that can import the list somehow to save me time. I definitely want a web based list too for easy typing purposes and potentially having hubby add things to the list. I also have to be able to use the list offline since most stores I go to don't offer wifi.
Any suggestions?

i personally am waiting for a grocery list app that could use gps (inside the store) to sequence my list according to location and rearrange the list accordingly...
sounds simple to me...
the only problem would be when the store decides to move items, but even then there could be an option to reset the gps location for specific products.
i'm waiting developers... would even pay for such an app!

You realize soulstlr the store putting GPS chips on their shelves is never going to happen. Grocery stores are probably the largest of the "Impulse Buy" outlets that exist. They want you to wander down the isles, hoping to "persuade" you to buy something that really isn't on your list. That is why they move the shelves around and put certain items in "high traffic" areas. I think your asking for an awful lot. Maybe even a motorized cart with BlueTooth that can just follow you and your xoom around the store so you wouldn't have to actually touch the cart

please re-read post...
i am not asking the grocery store to install anything.
merely looking for an app to auto organize a stupid grocery list.
did you wake up on the wrong side of your xoom???

OH, I understood your post. I'm just curious as to how to attain "sequence my list according to location and rearrange the list accordingly". Where is the information as to where it is located going to come from? If it is something that you would do on a walk through then the store wouldn't have to do anything. I do see how shelf reorg would be a bit of a killer. If your local store is anything like mine you may find certain "high volume" items scattered all over the place. I counted the other day that I could of picked up Lay's Potato Chips in 4 different locations other than the "Chips" isle.

i don't know about your phone/tablet but mine seems to know where i am at any given time without the implementation of "gps chips" (?).
all i am proposing is an app that would be designed to implement a list of items (any items) and on the initial visit would ask for you to lock in the gps location of each item on the list. the second visit would (depending which entry you use) automatically orient the items on your list accordingly. knowing how often they redesign their shelving locations (to induce higher volume sales) you could easily delete and reassign locations.
remember: gps= satellites hovering aimlessly in space (gps chips?)
i will leave the grocery cart fetish for you to work out...

Don't know if this helps, but. In the Grocery IQ, you assign an item an Isle, in the "Help/FAQ/Terms" section of the Settings I see that you can change the Order of the Isles. Possibly this gets you close to what you are looking for.

I know what "gps chips" are. Most of them are a little to "salty" for my taste. The older you get, you have to watch that salt intake.

thank you for your suggestion and actually i have used this app (grocery iq), but given the redundancy of certain lists that we make, day after day, i would rather use the system that google seems so eager to track "all" of us with.
surely, they (google) could likewise use this valuable info to further boost their bottom line, as if they need it.
it was merely wishful thinking, not fodder for discord...
while i'm out today i will look for the "gps chips" in the lays aisle....lol!
as per the op's request: i will continue looking
