Are you talking about the CRT Animation that everyone is talking about in Gingerbread?

Yes but its not available for the Xoom due to no source. So this is a free or donate app and that animation is old tv or something similar

Well it seems that the DX can have it now since they are on the Gingerbread leak. So I am wondering if their method would work for us. They are modifying the framework-res.apk file to enable the feature. But I don't know if we would have to deodex our Xooms but it they update the XUltimate I would be willing to give it a shot.

Carlz28 already tried to deodex it to no avail. So we'll have to wait

Well once we can get the framework-res.apk to decompile, we should be able to look under res\values\bool.xml and modify the config_animateScreenLights to false and then recompile the apk and add it back to the frameworks folder. At least I hope we can.
