make calls! Groove IP app for google voice working on xoom

So how is this any different than Skype with your own number for less a month?

Its free. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure u have to pay to call landlines with Skype. This is free calls to U.S. and Canada.

ok so I ran and bought this app and have not been able to get it to work... please help... so I made sure that I is logged off of talk, I have a voice number, I log into voice with my gmail account, I pick a contact to call and it just tell me that it can't connect cause I must have just started the app, I hit the app'shortcut in the notification and it says not registered with my gmail! What am I doing wrong? Please help!


P.S. I can text just no calls!

Did you make sure your username/pass was correct on groove IP ?

OK I got it to work, now when someone calls the number it is forwarded to my cellphone... can I receive calls on the xoom instead?

Go to Google voice on the web www.google.com/voice log in go to the settings (should be in the top right corner) make sure the calls are set to be forwarded to Google chat NOT your mobile number. Just to be safe I logged out afterwards as well as logging out of Google talk and voice on my cell

Can't you forward to Chat and Cell Phone? They both will ring. This is how I have it but I have not installed Groove IP yet.

YES - they both RING! This is a very big find and a huge V for the Android/XOOM world. Nice.

I cannot get my xoom to ring when selecting both or chat only. I can make calls fine, but I am unable to receive calls. Google Talk is not running and I am logged out of google voice account. Am I over looking a setting within Grove IP?
