    volume control

    hey guys,
id like to have volume controls in the status bar, coz the volume control hardware buttons are a little uncomfortable and i am a little paranoid about them to stop working if i use them too much.

is there any app/tweak available for xoom so that the volume could be controlled from the status bar, just like brightness.

    thanks in advance

widgetsoid does this perfectly - add a widget and choose volume, then in advance settings choose "notification panel" and "hide widget" - any questions just ask

Thanks buddy, but I'd like to have something more optimised for honeycomb. More optimised means that it comes as a slider like the one we have for brightness. It looks more integrated.

WOW, that was easy. Thanks for the tip. It's right there and easy to use. I tested it with radiopup and actually believe it somehow improved my speaker performance. Even though my XOOM was set at the highest when I installed trayvolume it said it was only 13 out of 15. Pushed it up to 15 and it was too loud , now 11 or 12 is comfortable and adequate.

    Thanks

thanks for that! I was looking for exactly that. the other apps for volume opened a new window with usually other stuff in it as well as volume. this does exactly what i was looking for.

Cool! I had Widgesoid, but that was kind of heavy to get to the volume. This is exactly what I've been wanting.

I just added VolumeManagerFree. Adds an icon right next to the time. Works as advertised.
