    remove songs

So I am very new to xoom. Loaded some songs from amazon which worked well - but I cannot see how to remove some of the songs that came with it. Can anyone tell me?

You can use a file manager like file manager HD and navigate to the music folder and delete the files directly

quick look here! now look down at your feet and say BANANAS real loud. now twist around 3½ times before sitting back down. now explain to your roommate who was watching you that you're not crazy, and that bobjenkins told you to do it

This is an known "hole" with the stock music player.

If you want to try a free alternative, I would suggest Winamp.

Winamp is relatively tablet friendly and does let you delete a song (just tap and hold the song to delete).
    Keep on Xoomin'

Can you pick a folder to display music from on winamp? I have mp3 audiobooks that always come up on my stock music player so I've ceased using it

Wouldn't it just as easy to mount the tablet, double click on device storage, go to the music folder and delete what you want? No additional downloads needed.

Sadly.. no Bob. I will let you know if I find one because that is a key feature IMO. If I don't find one soon, it might be my first Android app project.

I download astro file manager for free and deleted the music. Pretty useful to see all the crap that I wasn't able to see without it.
