portable speakers for xoom

my FoxL arrived yesterday... havent had time to put it through its paces, but initial impression after a 20 min test drive is excellent. Amazing sound quality for such a small piece of equipment... strong bass and well balanced. Not tremendously loud, but definitely plenty loud for a decent sized room or if outside in reasonably close proximity. Probably not what you want if you're trying to pump sound for a large gathering around a pool or at the beach... but for 4-8 sitting on the deck or gathered around the grill, more than enough volume. The sound quality is what makes it, though. Never heard anything like it anywhere close to its size or portability. I'd stop short of claiming excellence, as the audiophiles out there would no doubt disagree... but not sure better is possible without connecting my xoom to my home theater/sound system. Best parallel I could make is to a Bose system - truly remarkable given size and simplicity - but though it sound great next to most speakers/systems, certainly can't hold a candle to a well-matched and balanced system.
Will post more after more experience, but initial reaction is that it is worth the hefty price tag (just shy of 2 benjamins) if you want a highly portable speaker and demand really good sound.

actually i use a small pair of bookshelf speakers and a battery powered t-amp.fits nicely in a backpack the amp will run 15 or so hours easy playing fairly loud.

I just bought the Bose sound link and love it. Bose is a little pricey but wonderful!

I know it's Monster :/ I don't condone buying their cables by any means.

But I've been using this ever since I heard it in the store.

I love it. It's got a nice bass to it for such a small thing, and battery lasts forever.

I use it to stream music to it while around the house, or outside around the firepit.
