    Nandroids and ROM Manager

I've been reading that ROM Manager isn't that suitable for the Xoom, then also seen it used it the guides for creating Nandroids, booting into recovery etc etc. So wanted to ask if I should be using ROM manager or is something else better or more suitable for Nandroids (hope I'm using the right word here, its all still a bit new).

I want to make full back up of everything (nandroid?), in case I mess up and want to restore. ROM manager seems OK, but is it?

Rom manager isn't used for nandroids, you use your recovery for that.

When I open the thread [HOW TO] Use ClockWorkMod Recovery (backup/restore/update.zip) the first line of the instructions to make a Nandroid says to open ROM Manager, but I see its just as a way to boot to recovery. I think I got it now, its coming together...slowly. Thank you for your patience!

The best thing to do would uninstall Rom Manager and get Quick Boot from the market, free.

OK, ROM Manager is gone and Quick Boot free installed. Your advice is much appreciated.

How to have Nandroid Backups directed to External

    Hi,

    I am rooted, running 3.2.1 HTK75D.
I want to do a complete backup (rom, system files, data) of my Xoom, so I have a few questions, please.

What is the difference in running a backup (Nandroid) by booting into recovery vs running backup in ROM Manager?
I also notice that CWR is located on SD Card (which appears as internal memory) and the Nanroid Backup File is located on the internal memory as well.

Would it make sense to have the Nandroid Backup File located on the External1 SD Card instead and how can I direct it to be saved there instead during the backup.

I would assume I would have to make a backup of the physical card as well to be safe.

OK... not sure why Rom manager can't be used, but I tried doing a backup in recovery from rebooting the xoom, but as mentioned above everything ends up in internal memory, and not the external sd card.
    Please see my questions above.
