Need to unroot HTK75D Wifi-only Xoom

I'm not so good at this myself, so I'll shoot here.

I'm planning on the ICS update here soon, I currently have my Xoom rooted using this method :

[Root] Universal Xoom Root - ANY XOOM ANY UPDATE

I've been told that I need to unroot and re-lock before attempting any update for ICS, but I can't find the Motorola files for the HTK75D build :

MOTODEV > Products > Device Software

How do I go about returning to stock with my specific build numbers, if I am just going for the ICS update anyway?

If you're already rooted why don't you just flash the ICS rom, I'm on build 38 and it's very stable, fast and smooth. If you do flash the rom and the gapps, make sure and do a backup in CWM first.

If you want to go back to stock you get your images from MotoDev and fastboot them according to the instruction on the upper right of the screen.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I don't need to go back to stock to flash to the ICS update? I don't remember where, but somebody told me that.

Is the ICS rom the same thing as the update that Motorola is pushing out for testing right now?

It's not exactly the same but it's better.

Thanks again for your help. Damn I wish I knew more about this kind of thing.

To install this, do I pretty much do the same as when I rooted it, just using the ICS rom as my recovery instead of the one provided in the root guide?

Go to the thread, should have instructions there. You'll download the Rom and the Gaaps and put them on your sdcard. You'll boot to recovery and make a backup first, them you'll do the required wipes and flash the Rom, flash the gaaps, then reboot and sign back into google and redownload your apps, setup your screen and your done.

You've been a big help. I've got this new rom on there already, and just loading up the screen you can already tell how much more snappy and clear the software is. I really appreciate your help. I can't thank you enough.
