Universal Xoom Root v1.0 File - Unavailable

Hi, Can someone please provide me with a working copy of the universal Xoom root file. The website/link given for the file in the below post doesn't actually provide me with the download. When I click on the link it brings up the following URL: ATFTAS.us: The Leading ATF TAS Site on the Net I've already unlocked my MZ602 Motorola Xoom tablet but can not root without that zip file. I downloaded a file with that name elsewhere on the internet but when I tried to load the zip file from my external SD card it aborted the process. The file was downloaded from a windows 7 computer. I've followed the directions exactly to root my Xoom tablet and I don't know what else to try other than making sure that I actually have the correct zip file. Would be much appreciated if someone could direct me to a working download for this file so that I may get my tablet rooted. BTW my tablet is running android 4.1.2

    Thanks,

    Weso18

The link under the 4.1.2 root thread works, however after running the flash I still do not have root permissions.

    Hi Everyone!

First post here... So, I did everything in the instructions, and after installing the zip file I got a "done" message and everything. When I rebooted, I had the superuser app installed, however the first app that requires root that I tried to install told me I didn't have root permissions, and actually the superuser app itself keeps crashing when I open it. Any help you could give me? Thanks a lot.

    For Mexico, which image build should I unzip? There's a 6.1 and a 6.2?
    Thanks,

Thanks for the guide, my Xoom is now rooted!!!!! Waited and read up before I finally took the plunge. Now I need to figure out how to get the most out of the processor and to get rid of the crap I don't want.

    I Was Overcome With Dumbness!!

I was trying to do this while looking at the instructions on my notebook and (repeatedly) missed a step.
I printed out the instructions and as I was reading them I realized what I'd done.
I followed the CORRECT procedure and it worked perfectly.
I should have done this years ago.
I have a Nexus 5 phone had bought a Nexus 9 tablet open box at Best Buy because I wanted something a little faster to run Olive Tree Bible Reader 6.0.
It was VERY fast but I didn't like its smaller screen or its build quality.
Thanks so very much for those who contribute so greatly to this forum.
I'm off to overclock and enjoy my "new" Xoom.

Here is the problem once I get to the Easy ADB step I get confused and worried that I will brick this darn thing. So for those of us that love to play with their xoom but do not have technical knowledge that all of you clearly have how do I go about rooting it.

Hey question, just got my xoom and am going to root it asap. Once I use the SD card to root it, will the xoom brick/something if the sd card is removed after root??
My question is because I wanted to use my 8gb sd for rooting, then use my 32gb card for my movies, etc.

If i root using the 8gb, will something bad happen if I take it out after rooting and use my 32gb from then on?
