I'm sure it could be done on a Mac but I haven't seen any guides, PC would be the preferred machine.
Edit:
I did find this if you're on 3.2.

Not so sure about MacYou can take a look at grant link.
Prefer to do on PC...anything stuck we can assist as we more familiar with PC
Yes..system itself. You can update applications via market with no problemAlso, with regards to future updates you mention i am assuming that this only applies to the system itself and not all the applications, these still can update themselves through the market?
grant link for Mac
help cd C:\SDK_tools adb reboot bootloader fastboot oem unlock fastboot reboot i tried typing all that in the dos window. nothing. tried just cd C:\SDK_tools it says the system cannot find the path specified. the file is in my C: folder it is in a zip file it is not extracted tho.....?
Many thank to Atrix, ggrant3876 for the guidance and other members who contributed to the thread making it possible for a noob like me to have ICS running on my MZ604. Now as I would like to update to Android 4.0.4 and a more stable version of rom, could anyone want give me some step by step guide to do so? (I also wanna remove the nagging system update) P: I have backup my app and data using titanium backup. If I have those backup files generated by titanium kept in my pc, does it mean that I can transfer via usb and reload them again after flashing?
You would need to flash the WiFi Nightlies, as far as I'm concerned they're as stable as 1.0.0. You need to download the rom, the gapps and flash them both. Make a back up in CWM first in case something goes wrong. I don't think you'll need to do a full wipe but I'd make the backup, wipe your cache parftition, wipe the dalvik cache, flash the rom, flash the gapps then reboot and enjoy.

and here's the link for the newest gapps.

These are called nightlies but you don't have to flash each one - it's your choice.
