Couple questions on EOC ICS 1.0.0 and EOS Nightlies
Hi all,
I am rooted on stock with the tachi kernel on my 4G Verizon Xoom and I am going to wipe and install ICS. I have read that EOS ICS 1.0.0 is stable, but I am wondering what is the advantage to either EOS ICS 1.0.0 or the EOS nightlies. Are the Nightlies stable too? What types of changes do you see from day to day with the Nightlies? Every time you flash a Nightly, do you have to wipe again and then reinstall all of your apps and data?

Good question, I just rooted my xoom to EOS ICS 1.0.0and its great, well dont team, just where too from here, do we keep blowing away each night, or do we wait and see next solid version , eg EOS 1.1.0 or 2.0.0. if you can get updates Through rom manager you will be hailed as true heroes.

The nightlies just bring new commits in before they add them to the stable rom, as far as I'm concerned the nightlies are as stable as their HoneyComb rom, Moray 2.2.2.

HTC Sensation - Rooted - Romed
Samsung Galaxy S II - Rooted - Custom Kernel

Thanks guys! So do the nightlies offer anything that EOS ICS 1.0.0 doesn't? Is EOS ICS 1.0.0 fully functional or are there things on the Xoom, ie: camera, usb port, etc that do not yet work?

EOS 1.0.0 is the stable rom, the nightlies just bring in new stuff before they add it to the stable rom. The nightlies have more goodies in them.

The nightlies might also have bugs which is why they're released, so that the final version is as bug free as possible. Although most night lies I ran were pretty bug free.
