    XOOM 3G question

    Hi, i have been through almost all of the guides and there is rarely any mention on Xoom 3G. i want to upgrade my xoom to ICS without losing my data network possibly through migrating to US stock image and then getting the OTA update. Could someone please confirm if this is possible without losing my data network as in another thread there was 2 conflicting opinions about losing data network.
    PS: to my understanding ICS hasn't been officially released even in the US.

    the only way to do it is through rooting your tablet and flashing a custom rom if you want to keep 3g

    hey

    good choice to root and intsall ICS I did it a while ago and the tablet is just like brand new piece of hardware comparing to what I had before!

    I used these tutorial :
    [HOW] Rookie Rooting, Flashing And UnRooting Under One Roof
    and run now EOS NIGHTLY - btw: BIG THANKS TO DEVELOPERS FOR YOUR WORK!!!

    ...and 3G works
