Rooting Details ?

I pretyy much understand what rooting is. I rooted my captivate phone. what does rooting actually change on the Xoom?

Does rooting change some settings to get full access or does rooting flash a rom or ?

So......

It gives you super user permissions which allows you to run certain apps like adblocker, rom manager, etc (root apps)

Install busybox which some root apps need

For the xoom it also allows you to flash or install a custom rom

Sorry for the confusion, I want to know what rooting actually changes on the Xoom? What files does it install and or replace?

Does rooting actually flash a ROM or does it change or replace some files?

No rooting does not flash a rom thats something you can do after rooting

It adds some files to your sd card though and I don't know if it changes any I dont think unless you do or downlad an app that will like adblocker will change files
