Now rooting voids warranty correct?
Would returning it to a stock os make it acceptable to get fixed under warranty?

Got bored at work and decided to give this a go yesterday. Not exactly one step but pretty easy overall. Never rooted anything before until now and loving the oc.![]()
Thanks. Loving it for sure!
Is there anything that rooting causes not to work or make work differently? I still keep going back and forth on if I want/should give this a try on my Xoom and just want to make sure I understand all the benefits and downsides to rooting.
It can cause nothing to work at all, if not done properly. Read up on the dev threads to make sure you're very comfortable with what you are about to do.
But once you do it, ya, it acts like an entirely new machine!
Do eeeeeet!
I am terribly sorry if this has been answered before, but its past midnight and I dont feel like searching.
Is my xoom wiped when I root or when I install tiamat?
I have some PSX gamesaves and some saves from other games that I cannot find without root access, I would like to back these up before having the xoom wiped so I dont have to re-do 20 hours of gameplay.
Thanks,
Scott
So no way to get those gamesaves?
Edit: I was able to set a directory for the save state but not memory card. Then got via astro and sent to dropbox. Hopefully that will work!
