    Root question...

Hey guys, I have been hesitant to root my xoom only for the following reason:

Will I get Motorola system updates(SD card support, software patches)?

This is the only thing holding me up....I would root it and remove like 2 applications that came stock that I do not want. Maybe I should root and leave the applications alone? Any input is appreciated

    Thanks guys.

you can root it. buy a program for .99$ on the market called bloatfreezer and keep those two unwanted programs from showing up on your app tray. You don't want to delete stock apps, but hide them.

I was rooted when the last OTA rolled out and I was able to update without issue. All I had to do was push two files back over the the xoom afterward. Most of the time you have two option: receive the update OTA, or manually flash the file when someone releases it. Either way, we got you covered.

Seeing how I lost the stock boot ani, do you thinkg I'll have an issue w/ OTA?
