Recovery IMG (New 4/22)

This is a discussion on Recovery IMG (New 4/22) within the Motorola Xoom Development forums, part of the Motorola Xoom Hacks category; So what exactly does this fix? What was the culprit before? I am going to go get my laptop and load this right quick....

    So what exactly does this fix? What was the culprit before? I am going to go get my laptop and load this right quick.

    There was a bug with the last image, basically when you went to restore a nandroid you would get an error with the boot img. Its been fixed with this one.

    Flashed it. I am starting to enjoy adb now that I figured out the file hierarchy.

    Awesome. Thank you for the explanation. So I should run Clockwork again for a new backup or is my original back up good?

    You should be OK either way. I always have a least two nandroids stored just to be safe. Leave one alone, and refresh the other every once in a while.

    How do you have more than one? Each time you do it, it adds another backup?

    Yup, the trick is to remember what you name it. You can have as many as your memory will store.

    I have a 16GB card just for backups and a 32GB card for other uses. I removed all music, movies, and photos before backing up to save space and time.
