    ***Root Info***

-A Guide For All Things Root-

    What is rooting?

Android is an operating system that is based on Linux. Rooting is a process that gives you superuser access within the operating system, which is very similar to having admin access on a windows machine, or jail-breaking an apple product.

    Rooting Benefits

Rooting provides many benefits to the user, some benefits include:

-Overclocking (making the CPU run faster)
-Themes (changing the apperance of the operating system)
-Roms (loading custom operating systems, *not available yet*)
-Nandroids (backing up everything on your Xoom exactly the way it is)
-App and Data backup (backing up your apps and the data attached to them so you can restore at anytime)
-Special Apps (certain apps require root access, ex. Ninjamorph)

    Rooting Risks:

Like most good things in life, rooting has some risk involved, which is the possibility you could brick your device. The risk is small and usually only happens when a user makes an error (using software for the wrong device) or does not do the proper research. We do however have some tools to recover a bricked device. For 3G and Wifi-only Xooms we have system images which can recover soft bricked devices. For 3G Xooms we have the SBF, which would be used to recover a hard brick. We are still waiting for the Wifi-only SBF.

Nice guide. You might also want to include the link for the system files from Moto. I saw a link for them on XDA. I'll see if I can find them.
When I'm right I'm right, when I'm wrong I could been right, so I'm still right cause I coulda been wrong!
