Not rooted :(

I have tried for the past hour to get my Xoom WIFI only rooted and not having any luck. I am pretty familiar with SDK/ADB commands as I have rooted many EVO's using it. However for the life of me I can't get the Xoom rooted. I have followed the steps in this thread: 3.1 OTA Update. Zip [Rooted Users] and all steps complete correctly. However when I test my root, I am not

Someone please help me. I am on 3.1 as that is what the Xoom came with.

My only question I have is when I copy over the System and Bootloader downloads to the SD card do I need to unzip the contents to the sdcard, or just move the entire .zip file over ? I have tried both ways, and neither seem to give me root

Just move the entire .zip. It will handle the unzipping itself.

I am trying it again. Just reformatted the sdcard and re-downloaded the files. In the process of the unlocking the device right now. Will keep you posted.

Turns out I must not have downloaded the entire files. I re-did them and now I am rooted
